A staple of PC controllers that’s been on the market for years, the Logitech F310 is a solid, entry-mid level controller. Unlike the Xbox Controller’s asymmetrical design, the F310 more closely resembles the Playstation style of controller.
A no nonsense controller with no wireless capabilities, what you see is what you get. And while it
lacks the build-quality and ease of use of the high-end gamepads like the Xbox Controller, it also lacks its price-tag (especially if you get it on sale).
The only thing to be aware of is that I found the bumper springs are a bit too strong, and the travel distance before it registers a bit too high. This normally doesn’t matter, but it games where you have to hold down a bumper for an extended period of time (for example, to make a character run, or lock onto a target), it did lead to finger strain.
On the whole, however, if you want a controller for those occasional times you need it.
